London to Brighton Veteran Car Run 2 November 2025

Morgans gathered back in their traditional meeting spot in the car park at the refurbished Jolly Tanners pub in Staplefield although the car parking area was smaller than before due a vintage bus using it as a base . Alan Sharpe and Geoff Heath assisted in sorting out the parking at the pub which had been restricted to 14 Morgans.

The parking area outside the pub where we also used to park was now allocated to tables and  benches. The pub opened a ” food stall” at the side selling bacon butties, sausage rolls etc and tea and coffee.
The day started slowly due to  the torrential rain and for a while Staplefield seemed unusually quiet but as the weather improved  vintage cars started to come through, although later than usual, but it was not long before classic and sports cars starting parking around the green and hoards of onlookers took their places to get the best viewing sports.  Pennyfarthing riders had braved the awful weather to our surprise!
