The Annual London to Brighton Veteran Car Run as seen from Staplefield village. 7 November 2021
On a bright sunny day Morgans put on an impressive display of cars, parked outside the Jolly Tanners and ranged around the village green of Staplefield waiting for the veteran cars to come down the hill on their route to Brighton. Around 35 colourful Morgans, ranging from an Aero 8, to Plus 4s, 4/4s and a good number of three wheelers.made up by far the largest number of cars from any marque. Morgan owners started to arrive around 7.30 am and in an array of motoring gear, flying jackets, leather helmets etc.
The first veteran cars came through about 10.00am to loud cheers and the steady stream of veterans lasted until around 1pm, including several riders on penny farthing bikes.
Also parked around the green were a host of vintage, classic and sports cars, turning the village into a motoring bonanza
