Additional rooms are now available. Please contact Jeff Deere for details.

(From GR). Slightly unusual to copy an email on to the site but I thought it might be helpful to give Jeff’s note of 18 Feb 2025 in full:
As we are getting closer to this event I felt it would be useful to provide an update.
Currently, we are 31 members with 17 rooms booked. There are 4 rooms still available.
If anyone is interested please let me know and contact the hotel on 01935 813463 to make a booking. It would be nice to take up our original allocation and make it solely a Morgan event.I will have to allocate rooms back to the hotel soon.
The price is £662.40 for a Standard double and £770.40 for a Superior room and a single only rate of £536.40.There are two standard and two superior rooms available. This includes breakfasts and evening meals on the Monday and Thursday.
Closer to the date you may want to add the Wednesday and /or Thursday to dine at the hotel at our discount rate.
We have been approached by the local Morgan Group (Scrumpy Mog) to undertake a joint day out. This is planned for Wed 21st and would involve a driving route from Weymouth to Bridport (West Bay). It’s a very spectacular coastal route with a great view of Chesil Beach. There would be a lunch stop. This would be entirely optional but I will ask for numbers closer to the date.
Karen and I have also been looking at some different ideas that may interest you. These are a few examples.
1 Sherborne which is a beautiful and historic market town. It has an Abbey with free guided tours and a castle built by Sir Walter Raleigh. The gardens are open to the public but house only Friday to Sunday. It also has a famous school. Market day Thursday.
2 Haynes Motor Museum. 10% Discount on ticket price if you book beforehand.(15 Mins drive)
3 Dorchester and Poundbury. Poundbury was built by King Charles over the last 40 years. He kept it under wraps for a long time. The town represents his views on different styles of Architecture….very unusual. It’s worth a morning visit and has 5000 inhabitants ….hidden away. (45 Mins).
4 Well known Lulworth Cove & Durdle Door (50 mins).Scenic walks, tea shops & pub.
5 Cloud Hill (NT) home of Lawrence of Arabia and Bovington Tank Museum. Close to Wareham an estuary Saxon Town. Great place for coffee by the river in local posh hotel.( 45mins).
6 Montacute House. Elizabethan (NT).Used as a film location.(25 mins)
7 Burrow Hill Cider & Brandy Farm ( recommended by John Adam’s of Scrumpy Mog and a tour can be booked).( 20mins drive.)
8 Royal Navy Fleet Air Arm Museum. Yeovilton. (20 mins). Best to book….if enough people want to go may be able to get a discount.
9 Thomas Hardy home (NT)Dorchester. Martyrs Museum Tolpuddle nearby. An interesting museum and coffee stop. ( 45 mins)
10 Sculpture by the Lake’s. Close to Dorchester. Botanical gardens, shops, restaurant and unusual sculptures.( 45 mins)
There are lots of other interesting towns and places to visit and worth doing some research to best use your time and hotel location.
Regards
