For June we have something slightly different. John and Jan are arranging to visit Milestones Museum in Basingstoke on Sunday 9th June. It is like a miniature Beamish but all under cover. It is Hampshire’s museum of living history. Explore the museums streets, shops and buildings, 1940s sweet shop, a collection of vintage vehicles and much more. Have a go in the penny arcade!! Tickets are priced at £11.05 if booked online or £13 on the day. The museum website is https://www.milestonesmuseum.org.uk .
There is a café on site open from 11.00 to 16.30 and serving hot food from 12.00 till 14.00. The address of the Museum is: Milestones Museum, Leisure Park, Churchill Way West, Basingstoke, Hampshire Telephone 01256 639550.
John and Jan suggest arriving at approximately 11.30am for what should be a very interesting day.
PLEASE NOTE, Jan and John have advised that the post code on the museum web site is incorrect. It is suggested that you use RG22 6PL instead. The latitude and longitude figures are
51.266487-1.112097 if your sat nav can cope and you prefer.
