We have arranged a mid-week visit to Petworth House.

The Petworth estates have been in the same family for over 800 years by virtue of a royal gift in the 1150’s.  Since that time the house and landscape have changed dramatically from a medieval manor house to a grand Baroque mansion; from Henry V111’s hunting ground to a place of inspiration for countless artists.

We have arranged to meet at 1030 hours in the house car park which can be reached off the London road heading out of Petworth.  Members can then explore the house and gardens at their leisure.  Food and drink is available from the café in the house and there are numerous places to eat in the adjoining town.  We can take advantage of a group rate of £12 providing, in total, we are 15 people or more.  NT members are included in the total but have free entry.

Please let us know by the 15th July if you will be attending and also whether you are NT members.  This information is required by the venue
