Ann and Quentin have kindly volunteered to organise our September event and have arranged a visit to the Science Centre at Herstmonceux, to include a private tour of one or two of the telescopic domes (lasting around forty minutes) and a cream tea in the afternoon.

Ann and Quentin have visited the Centre twice this year, the first time with two French Morganeers – who were fascinated by the exhibits and secondly with their two grandsons (aged 8 and 3 years) who described it as ‘awesome’! This seems to indicate that it will be an ideal experience for all of us.

You can see more about the Centre at: http://www.the-observatory.org/index.php

Cost: £19.50 for a car and two people which is £10 entry per car plus £1 per person for the dome tour and £3.75 per person for the cream tea. If anyone will be solo or with more than two in the car Ann and Quentin will advise the cost for the group.

Timing: We suggest you arrive between 10h00 (when the Centre opens) and 11h00, to make sure you do not miss our dedicated Dome Tour at 11h30. You can stay until the Centre closes at 18h00.

Refreshments: There is a small café, serving toasted sandwiches and similar snacks at very reasonable prices should you want something before our cream tea, which will be served in a private marquee at 15h00.

Parking: Morgans will be parked in a special display area, members arriving in other makes should park in the normal car park, but will still be entitled to everything that the others enjoy and for the same price.

Contact: Ann & Quentin 01903 831387 or email: qanda.english@btinternet.com (note no ‘u’ in this email address)

We require a minimum of twenty cars for this visit – so please let Ann & Quentin know soon
