This is a day when classic car owners are encouraged to get their vehicles out onto the road to show them off and to enjoy themselves. For SexMog in some years a meet up has been organised or ,if not, members have “ done their own thing “ and just taken a ride out somewhere,
The venue for our December 2023 Noggin so enjoyed having 27 members there in their café that they have offered to be a stop off point for members out and about in their Morgans this year. They will be able to provide their full extensive menu including breakfast (without having to pre order) between the hours of 12.00 noon and 3pm when they stop selling hot food.
In December due to inclement weather we had to sit inside but there are tables outside as well should the weather play ball. To summarise:
Location:
The café at Perryhill Farm Shop
Edenbridge Road
Hartfield, TN7 4JJ
( just outside Hartfield)
Food available: Their full menu
Time: 12.00 noon until 3pm
Members wishing to pit stop there will be arriving at different times and kindly note that other people will be eating there as well and there is no sectioned off Morgan area.
Perryhill would like to have an idea of numbers so if you think you might be stopping off there can you please send an email to us at mogsatappletree@googlemail.com by 7 April 2024
Thank you. David and Marilyn
Karen and I are in the process of putting together an event for next year that hopefully will be of considerable interest.
The event would be a visit to The West Hoathly Garage in West Sussex followed by a lunch at a location to be confirmed.
This garage has specialised in the rebuilding and servicing of historic Rolls Royce, Bentley and Packard cars through three generations of the Dene family. There are many unique vehicles and in some cases the cars are being totally rebuilt. Some of the cars have illustrious histories.
The Garage has changed little since the twenties and has never undertaken car club visits neither do they advertise their services. There are about 30 amazing vehicles to be viewed and the two owners have agreed to show you the cars and discuss work being carried out.
They have also agreed to clear their car park area for our Morgan’s which will provide a great picture opportunity in an area where there is very little parking.
There will have to be a limit on numbers….. 25/ 30 members for safety reasons with no more than about 18/20 Morgans, so a second event will be organised for the following week.
